2009

February: DOUBTS, my first novel, got its gold star on Harper Collins' Authonomy website, and received a very favourable review

May: Harper Collins agreed to look at DOUBTS again after an edit. They still have it and will apparently get back to me soon...*

2010

April: I read an extract from DOUBTS at OPEN MIC, cafe La Fídula, calle Huertas, Madrid. It was my third reading there.

May: PHASMATIS - BACK TO LIFE, my second novel, also received its gold star on Authonomy. PHASMATIS will eventually be a trilogy.

August: I left Madrid and moved to Hong Kong, hence the blog thoughts.

September: I got back to my third novel, LEAVING 1989, having put it in a drawer at 25,000 words two years ago.

November: LEAVING 1989 currently at 62,000 words. About 10,000 to go I think.
The review of PHASMATIS finally arrived. I'm pleased with it. positive and constructive.
I've given up on ever getting the 2nd review of DOUBTS, though.

December: Finished THE HOLE IN PAGE ELEVEN (formerly Leaving 1989). Just under 76,000 in the end.

2011

January: Started 2nd draft of LEAVING 1989

February: Distracted by a new project: an unnamed as yet Hong Kong Mystery. 5 chapters in.

April: Put 3rd novel, LEAVING 1989, on Authonomy. Started at 4250, rose to top 50 in 2 months.

May: 58,000 words edited of THE HOLE IN PAGE ELEVEN. Total down to around 67,000 words.
